Default Mazda week?

Is it me or is it "bring out your Mazda" week. I almost couldn't move around Northampton this week without bumping into (figuratively speaking) an MX5, with a couple of RX8's thrown in.
Maybe the weather forecast was good - perhaps time to open up my garage door and think about a bit of top-down motoring (assuming my car hasn't disappeared over the Winter).

Let us know how you get on - they're one of the few remaining interesting 'boring cars'.

The MX-5 appeals to a broad spectrum of owners, be they modern-day sports car enthusiasts who think it's a sporting car in the traditional mould or those just needing a simple small easy to drive open car.
It's the worlds best selling little convertible to they are everywhere.

Never have I undertaken a journey these days without seeing them, just as I do a Ford Focus. What else would one expect of such highly successful cars?

All credit to Mazda ( or more correctly their advisors ) for some very clever forward thinking back in the late eighties in identifying an overlooked forgotten unfulfilled niche. We shall never see they like of such thinking again.

BUT it is nice to own a classless macho sports car that is a relatively rare sight on the roads.
