You may or may not know that I did a 5 day thrash around France in April with the Petrolhead Nirvana lot.
The "blog" thing has been posted up here http://www.petrolheadnirvana.com/tor...read.php?t=836 if you are interested.
Steve "M1bjr" came with us too, but unfortunately had to abort early due to illness.
I had a great time on some great roads and nice to be out with lots of different cars too.
Mt Ventoux was great, as part of the Tour de France route the road surface is perfect. It was such fun we went up and down there about four times
They're doing another trip in September, but I've not got enough holidays left

The prices quoted on the site is for them leading the way and for accommodation just I guess?
Its a very well organised unit.
They run it as a profit making business by all accounts.
I suspect the margins just about cover the organisers hoilday actually.
There are properly printed route cards, sat nav routes and lead/tail cars.
Radios are available (handy for solo drivers) and all the stops and hotels are excellent quality and arranged for you.
If you are new to touring, then this is perfect.
You get to meet the whole gamut of people too.
From us lowly trades persons, to city guys - all with one common interest.
If you want to meet a few before committing, pop along to Londons Ace Cafe one month.
Im sure you'll find Bachi ('Harsh' on here), Ben and even Dan Hale at most monthly meets.

Billy,
What Steve said basically.
I believe for the September trip the price is now including all evening meals too.
All you need to pay on top of the tour price is lunch, drinks, fuel, tolls & fines!

Hey Guys,
firstly thanks for the kind words..
we do run Petrolhead Nirvana as a business but it's mainly for the fun of going on tour so our margins are more about covering costs
S2000's are the perfect tool for these trips, quick and comfortable enough for the routes down there and then more than nimble enough to keep up with anything else on the really fun roads (just ask Dan!)
the prices quoted on the site include...
return Eurotunnel
lead and support cars
Accomodation including breakfast and dinner at 4 and 5 star hotels
Full route and info pack
Sat Nav files
walkie talkies
tour manager
and of course the 'leave noone behind' ethic which means everyone gets to have the same fun!
Mont Ventoux is one of my favourite driving roads ever....forget Stelvio, it's on a par with my previous favourite the San Bernadino pass.
we do have a couple of places left on the September tour. give me a shout if you want to chat about it, or we'll be at Wings and Wheels at Dunsfold on sunday.
