Default Miserable

Last night on my way into Glasgow I hit a crow that smashed my windscreen. This morning taking my g/f to work I hit a cat at about 50mph and hairline cracked one side of my front clam (in the lower lip), smashed the number plate (which I have a spare of), and cracked the centre grille (which I also have a spare of). Right before that a flock of thrushes flew in front of the car and I had to slam on the brakes (when I was only doing about 30) to avoid hitting them too.

I feel like shit right now. Feels like someone's trying to tell me I should get rid of the car before something really bad happens.

Can I just interject a wee bit of perspective into your unlucky life?

You're completely right Andy. I am not made of very strong stuff though.

Just called the insurance, and RAC are coming to work to fix the windscreen, and I'll fit the spare number plate in the mean time.

She was bawling her eyes out in the car too, so that made it all the more fun...

A stone saw off my last one, and at the time there was a shortage. From the advice of other Elise owners, who told me number plates, spotlights and grilles always get lost in Elise ownership, I ordered a spare. Sadly I was right.

Mate - I was having some near road death experiences only the other week in the mondeo. A cat ran out on my way to work and the brakes got slammed on, it went under the front of the car and came out between the the front and rear left wheels.

The same day a couple of pigeons got away with their lives - just.

Don't worry about them - Jo, the great duck murderer of olde London town, is always killing stuff.

BB's court apperience...

Chin up fella

Glad it's not just me, and I think if I'd have hit a sheep we would have been 3up going down the road. The fibreglass couldn't bounce that back I don't think!

Just feel like I'm being given a not so subtle message to give it all up. Been thinking that way for a while, and maybe this is the push I need to give it back and drive something mundane,

I did come back and have a wank as it happens. My 'Barely 18 Anal Virgins' torrent I had going finished downloading overnight, so that at least did calm me down.

I'm just pissed off now though...
