Default Mondeo TDI ffs

Had one behind me the other day right up my rear! So I thought okay a few
roundabouts coming up, i'l leave you standing.

Anyway I didn't, he was very quick. As he peeled off down the M1 I looked
over at the TDCi badge then the Ring sticker, sort of evened it
out a bit.

Oh well.

Russ.

Not quite a mondeo but was coming home on the A2 long stretch towards London from the M25 junction 2 an Alfa 147(i think) over took me whilst i was on 100mph with ease. Either he had a turbo or some massive litre engine i just couldn't quite get it into my head.

The S just has no pulling power whatsoever from 100 onwards and when i hit 110, he was about 2 car spaces ahead of me and was still going, i took my foot of the gas at this point as i had no hope whatsoever to catch up.

Then makes me think i need to increase my engine size or go turbo...

Now i just hate straight open roads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A miniscule amount of bhp and a large amount of torque goes a long way. I had a Focus TDCI trying to chase me one day. I didn't go into the 2nd cam for the firstcouple of gears and he was not far off. Our cars don't do their thang until they're into the 2nd cam so from now it's no mercy rag the tits off it.

Just in case.

Totally agree, with the S you cant afford to be in the wrong gear or outta the zone or you will get done.

Will take the advice on board, i will in future rev the engine like make, come to think i was in 6th gear and er, it had just gone 5.5k revs, so i should have either dropped it to 4th or 5th and let it hit the red???

My fault really should have learned that the first time it happened
