MPG
I was thinking how odd it is that we talk about MPG for cars, but we buy fuel in litres.
I wonder if it would change people opinions of fuel efficiency and driving costs if we used MPL instead.
60mpg = 13.2mpl
40mpg = 8.8mpl
20mpg = 4.4mpl
I wonder if it's a deliberate thing to mislead drivers so it's not so obvious and easy to see how far you'll actually get on that £1.30 litre of fuel.
Didn't we go metric about 40 years ago?
So, in theory, we should be using kilometres per litre.
Although standard seems to be litres per 100k.
Bugs me that they report petrol prices in gallons, "that's 3p on a gallon of petrol"
YOU CAN'T BUY A GALLON OF PETROL!
