My Little Pony
In mah mustaaaang gee tee, thuh wun with tha vee eight.
It's too big, it guzzles fuel, the boot opening is laughable, the rear seats nearly pointless, the speedo is not useful, and it's such a cliche.
But the noise.... oh the noise. It's like 8 angry grizzly bears. Having sex. With Scarlett Johansen. In a cage. It's Spinal Tap's one louder. It's a raw primal noise, like 8 tectonic plates rubbing together at once. You know it's bad. You know you shouldn't, but you just can't help yourself.
Any other hire car would have done, as long as it had aircon (high of 39C) but for the noise alone it's worth it. If it was smaller, and a lot more frugal with the fuel, I'd have one in the UK.
Did I mention the noise.
Tomorrow I'll get a vid with the noise. Still hunting for a tunnel. Anyone know of a tunnel in the Vancouver area?

Normally I'd care, but I don't. And it's WAY better than the one I hired about 5 years ago. This car is about making noise.
Sometimes you have to accept a car for what it is, and not care about what it's not. It's a thing to make noise.
I would have preferred a camaro or a Corvette Z06, but you make do.
I also like the satellite radio, the excessive interior lighting, the comfortable seats, the steering that's slightly too heavy and without feel, the strangely non staggered wheels (245/45/19's all around) and the brashness of it all.
It's a shite car, made badly, but I still love it.

I know what you mean about the great noise they make, but its all noise and no action as they dont really seem to shift do they?

pity you couldnt have got the camaro, would have liked a review.
you have got to love those big v8's.
the aus version of the 5ltr v8 is only a few hp down on my v8.and had 16 more valves

I could be wrong though, it was a couple of years ago and we were in a Durango - big V8 engine, but choked senseless and mated to a 3 speed(!) slushbox so no tunnel fun.

My mate had one in the states for 2.5 years, same colour as that with the V8. He liked it so much he swapped it for the Shelby GT500 and brought it back home...!
And it makes the standard GT feel a bit slow, but it does have 500 supercharged horses!
