New NSX
What's going on with these? Does anyone know how many Honda have sold? There seems to be quite a high proportion (out of a handful) with little more than delivery miles on the clock. Plus a the slightly dubious practice of listing them as 'VAT qualifying' and adding 20% to the listed price. What's that about?
They've been a bigger sales disaster than the first one. I think a few early speculators got burned.
I understand that the 2020 (or 21?) model revisions have made it really rather good - subtle tweaks - but it's a badgeless wonder and terribly complicated.
So it's of limited appeal to the old NSX brigade and to the poseurs.
I wonder if they're largely ex-dealer-principal cars that are being outed? That Hendy one could be as they're Honda dealers (inter alia).

That's why I think they're ex-DP 'demonstrators' - VAT-qualifying means they reclaimed The Dreaded on it (coz 100% business use) upon purchase and it doesn't go through the usual used-car VAT margin scheme.
If you're a foreigner, you may export it VAT-free. For the rest of us, it's advertised price plus VAT.
The DP may be upgrading to the new improved demonstrator.
Years ago, I knew the top beancounter at M-B when they were near Brentford. He and all the other brass were driving round in 'demonstrators' (regularly changed) which avoided The Dreaded and wage slave BIK taxes.

Does explain it though. There might be buyers sub £100K but circa £120K is more than optimistic
I'm surprised HMRC allowed that. I always thought it was all but impossible for cars (versus commercials) and even taking the thing home would compromise the 100% business use.

Plus - I hear there's superb scrappage value trade in rates for old worthless Jags

Same with van tax.
Obviously it's a pool demonstrator but if they did notice...

At the risk of being told a 1993 Prelude is all I need, are they any good?
If you want a bubble, someone is has LJKS's old Prelude up for sale for €7,000!
I've not driven the NC1 NSX, so dunno.
I understand that valve clearances are an expensive engine-out job, so it's more like a Ferrari than a Civic in that respect.
