New project crx to keep me busy!

How did I miss this thread.
That little CRX looks absolutely fantastic Ikobo. Every credit for giving it the attention and investment it deserves.
I agree with loovegroova - the original wheels are cool and achieve the definitive and authentic CRX VTEC look. Do whatever you can to keep them on the car

owwww the memories...
I owned 3 vtec's throughout the years and what you're doing now is something I might do in a few years...
If you need any advice / help on them, PM me... I probably forgot more about them then most people will ever learn... anything but engine-internals, as I never felt the need to do anything about them... these engines are a lot of fun from the factory and I don't see why they need to be modded if the car is a daily driver.
One hint: on these older chassis you need AT THE LEAST a front upper strut brace... does wonders for turn in!

Cheers for the comments guys.It went for it's M.O.T this morning and had a total clean bill of health.I'd expected a few hidden problems to turn up but it sailed it.You just can't keep a sporty little honda down!

I was always against increasing wheel size thus reducing rubber depth and thereby probably worsening the already very choppy ride. Any thoughts on that?
To a certain extent, removing undamped flex from the sidewall also allows the dampers to do more of the damping, so although the low speed ride may become worse on ridges, it ain't necessarily so overall. It's a compromise some may accept, others may not. Like most Hondas back then, they were perhaps a little modestly shod.
But certainly, going for silly wheels will destroy the car; it's sprung mass is so small, the unsprung increase makes it unbearable.
