Definite outsider. I need to find the nearest dealer as they rather inconsiderately closed the Bognor branch.

Fabia is interesting in an over-assisted way, little 3-cyl makes surprising progress and they're getting 45mpg+. It's got enough kit to appeal to mum (though the MP3 socket is a complete mystery to her), and the dealers are fantastic (she downsized from an Octavia she'd had for the last 10 years and wanted to stick with the same dealer). Feels a solid car to be in and it's highly rated in tests. If Jules can live with the badge, it seems a car worth looking into.

Fiesta Kate had was more fun to drive (1.6 Zetec) and a nice car to be in but the dealers were universally awful. When the rear passenger window leaked water into the door they pointed out that trim only has a year's warranty and refused to do anything for free, despite there being water audibly sloshing round in the bottom of the door. We sold it not long after and I pity the poor sod who's currently driving about with a door rusting from the inside out.
I will test the water re the badge, possibly from a safe distance. She is fiery and unpredictable...

Strangely the Ford dealer closest to me is bloody good. They really helped me out when I put 20 litres of unleaded into a diesel car and seem to have a nice old-fashioned approach to customer service. They will also do odd jobs on different makes without complaint which I find a bit of a rarity with main dealers nowadays.

We are overdue a beer and a moan.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they A1 money? One thing I should have mentioned is that we would both like the car pretty well specced up. Whilst that wouldn't be a problem with an eighteen month old Fiesta I must say my guess is that it will be harder with the DS3. There is a dealer nearby and I could take a look but I reckon mention of Citroen might produce more of a frown than a gallic shrug.

I like these too, and they come in some funky colours. What's yours?

Aston Cygnet?

Sorry, spotted the other thread.

I'd say Polo GTi but they drink oil. Is a Mito any good? Very girly.

What other colour would I get? Plus the Ultra Prestige only comes in White or Shark Grey

Seriously Gad go and drive one.

The Old Dear has recently taken delivery of her Skoda Citigo. It's a fully loaded Elegance but a lower spec' 75 bbp version would be my call.

Very nice to drive, practical and cheap if bought in a sensible specification. No deals yet as demand for this and the Up! appears quite high.

The Old Dear's has an ASG gearbox which even blips the throttle on downchanges; a little disconcerting for pedestrians when they see an octogenarian behind the wheel...
