i dont like this trend towards massive wheels. the Evo CTR destroyed a few on potholes, takes the tyre with it and costs quite a lot even on a Honda, nevermind that ride is harsh due to no tyre and over stiff suspension to cope with extra unsprung weight

it looks fantastic imo, you have great taste in cars..

i prefer this to a 911, they are big cars now though you could have had a nice 997 i imagine

so.. what's next? haha

That’s the thing the ride quality is absolutely amazing ! Think that’s the benefit of having adaptive dampers and pilot sport 4s Tyres , which always seem to a very nice balance between sporty / sticky and comfort .

Yes yiu are right the budget I had could have bought me a very nice 997.2 ... and I did test drive the 911 and cayman back to back . Night and day for me . Although only separated by 4 years the 997 felt so so old compared to the 981 cayman . The way the 997 felt to drive was no where as good as the cayman and as you say , they are big cars .

Whats next ?

Well I’ve ordered a few bits from Porsche ( embossed arm rest , red seat belts , plus a few other bits ) , the cars still under Porsche approved warranty, so I’ll not be modding it ! They are pretty funny about none standard stuff , right down to the battery needing to be a Porsche one! It’s just had a new one fitted @ £490!!! Ouch

Looks a very nice car and I can see why you'd prefer it over a dated 911

That battery price is just taking the p*ss though

It's the sort of thing I would spend days trying to get around just because it's so ridiculous

Yep completely agree on the battery ... it’s a joke ! ( lucky for me I didn’t have to buy it !) If you put a none gen one in it voids the whole warranty! I new this before purchasing a Porsche hoping it would stop me spending obscene amounts of money on upgrades / mods . I reckon in the last 4-5 years I’ve spent around 1k a month on mods. .... what I didn’t plan for was all the nice Porsche parts you can get , hahaha

yeah I'd love to see that one stand up in court

does it void the warranty if you pop in a Halfords bulb as well?

regardless of which, well done on a great purchase

For context this has around 13k of extras !!
Aha, thought that might be the case, cheers.

I've always had a 'thing' for the old 997 GT2 from 2008 it too would have to be in pure white......this GT4 looks lovely btw ;-) I'd happily take either.
