Took me three times!
All tests were a joke!
I should have passed the first 2 and failed the 3rd.
Took me 6 weeks from my 17th birthday though so pretty quick.

.....lottery

should have passed the first and failed the second. First time no mistakes whatsoever - and I mean that. Second time made most of the mistakes possible including:
I crossed hands on the wheel several times
hit the curb hard doing the 3 point
Oh, and the examiner asked me why I was doing over 30 mph as I drove over a pedestrian crossing in a built up area?

I would have failed me after that lot so how could I have passed? The test was a joke back then and nothing has changed.

My son failed his first attempt too as he overtook a parked car without waiting for the oncoming car to pass by. A door width of room on both sides so what was the problem?

and.......it costs a small fortune to go through the process again.

My stepfather was put on a disciplinary because he was passing too many candidates. Apparantly they have a quote of pass/fails and if they don't have the desired ratio its not considered good for career prospects in the agency..
He quit the job soon after that.

Passed my CBT then the full bike test 7 months later, also first time...no faults, aged 19

Passed the car test first time with 8 minors aged 21/22...can't quite remember

Picked up my MX5 the same day I passed

You drove over a pedestrian on your driving test and still passed?

When I did my CBT I'd already been riding a bike on the road every day for the previous 9 months. So it was a little bit pointless.
