Default Off to the French Alps..

We're off on the annual boys' bike trip abroad. Last year the Pyrenees. This year the French Alps. 3 days in Briancon then 2 days in Belfort and the final night near Cambrai on the way home. We're trying out the French Motorrail tonight, boarding at Calais and arriving in Nice tomorrow morning. Should be good. Watch this space for lots of pics etc in due course!

I'm torn between looking forward to seeing the photos, Philip, and being concerned that I will be very jealous! Enjoy yourself

My BMW K1200S. Great on the A roads but a bit of a handful in the twisty bits.

I am accompanied by a BMW R1100 Boxer Cup, a Honda Fireblade, a Suzuki S1000S, an Aprilia Tuono, a Kawasaki 1400 GTR, and a Honda Blackbird.

The train was a bit of a marmite.

Old rolling stock - clearly nothing has been invested in the service for a number of years so everything looks and feels tired.

Cost per bike
