Well, I have! Just took an hour to get to my High Street hotel by car from the Oxford Services on the M40. Oxford is ahead of Cambridge in the car repelling stakes and when the hotel gives you access information they omit to say 'this is the ONLY way in'. But the trip has made me find and use an excellent feature of the BMW satnav, the interactive map. Maybe they all have them but this was a revelation to me. You can lock the map N-pointing then your car crawls over the map and you can twirl the dial to zoom in/out and shift the centre point of the map by nudging the stubby knob. This let me recover and back track round the ring road in the full flow of rush hour. With apologies to the long suffering bus drivers of Oxford. Bloody good thing I decided to do this the night before my day in court and not try it on the day. Now all I have to do is win and get my expenses paid

Well, those places' policies have worked on me - I never go anymore.

I choose places that I can more conveniently drive to.

Good luck on the day...

The f@#ker who runs their anti car scheme wants stringing up by his bollox

Many years ago they'd put some barriers on a bridge there, I took both down with my 'bit too wide' truck

Blimey , I go into Cambridge all the time , did I miss something! The city centre is small if we use park and ride it's efficient , or the car park although expensive works well for us the one associated with John Lewis.
