PLEASE HELP !
The story is like that. I bought a Honda s2000 engine, transmission and diff from the ebay advert below.
ebay link
The whole deal was advertised as a 7110 low miles conversion kit and I was always looking for a low miles engine as a spare. When I received the engine from the courier company i was socked!!! The engine and the rest of the things were in a really bad state full of road salt and rusted parts.
That made me suspicious because it didn't look for an engine that supposed to had 7110 miles. Not to mention i didn't receive any paperwork from the car i asked from the breaker. I only had the VIN number by e-mail
Anyway i was able to find all the history of the car and double cross the VIN number with the engine number I received and according to Honda central database this car in the last service on 5/07/07 had 40.000miles before it was written off om22/05/08. I called their hotline but the guy I was exchanging continuously e-mails and spoke once on the phone until we come to a deal was not there. I did send him an e-mail yesterday but did not get any response.
Please advise me what to do or if you can be at any help I will appreciate it.
Thanks
Chris

first thing, surely you have to raise a dispute with ebay?
you seem to have all the evidence you need that you have been misled
I'm not sure what ebay can do beyond suspending the seller's account, but that's a start
did you pay by PayPal?
that's another angle

No i used a bank transfer
And the transaction was outside e-bay as it was with offers and i did everything by phone. I trusted the feedback he has on e-bay what to say.....
Please help otherwise i see my self travelling for holidays over there in his brake yard just before the Euromeet
hope that you used a credit card for the transaction ......

Very poor result. The engine in the Ebay pics looks very clean. As it should with 7K miles. You hardly need telling that you've been sold a totally different far leggier engine that is CLEARLY NOT the one in the images. Question is what to do about it. Trading standards might be worth a call (part of your County Council) to get a few ideas. The seller's feedback looks OK at 99% so I can understand you feeling OK about buying. We're all wise after the event, but spending

I feel really sorry for you mate.
Ebay will do nothing to help you as you traded outside of their system and as you paid by direct bank transfer, you have zero guarantee of getting your money returned.
I don't think that Trading Standards will be of any use either.
This is a crap situation to be in, and let it be a lesson to everyone.
My advice would be to try and speak direct with the head guy of the company you bought the engine from and try and come to some agreement.

I just read this topic and am verry sorry that this happened, especially to you Chris since I know you, and you've been very helpful to the community.
Am asking as well for some help from the UK Community, to reach this breaker if possible and try to sort this out somehow.
All help will be highly appreciated.
