I asked for a quote from das ltd for a spare wheel for an Accord they have on their ebay auctions.

They wanted a ridiculous amount so I didn't bother. (Luckily for me it appears as they would probably have sent a bent one anyway from this thread's indication!)

Also another flag was the fact as noted above they say they're from Dewsbury, Manchester. Is Dewsbury not in Yorkshire?

(To OP - I hope you have some luck resolving this)

I noticed that Ste_Nova has gone to their yard. Is he close to them if I may ask? Or if any other member of the UK Community is close by?

I don't want to put pressure on you guys and tell you what to do, but I believe that we feel the same way when someone has been deceived.

Like I said, any help or any of your valuable time to sort this out will be appreciated. (I can see already couple of pints on my account for you guys. Lee, I'll sort out the account at the EuroMeet.)

Thank you for your support. I will do that. I am really suprised such a big brake yard is risking their reputation for couple of thousand pounds .

OK, start here.
Select 'Yorkshire and The Humber' from the drop down list, click 'Continue' and fill in the form, they will get back to you.
This site registers a complaint against the company with the relevant government body, called Trading Standards. As has been mentioned, they are not always very effective, but it's a first step.

Speak to the breaker direct, and inform them you have alerted Trading Standards to the deception, and unless you get satisfaction, you are going to use the small claims system.

The small claims court will require you to have given every opportunity for the trader to make good, but if all else fails, that's the system to use. just make sure that if you decide to use this system, you have exhausted all other possibilities. Small claims court is here.

Good luck.
