If you decided to buy a 911, would you go for the rear wheel drive, or all wheel drive version?

C2 for the drive. C4S for the looks.

C4S looks great in 996 and 997 flavours. The 993 version looks a bit overdone to me against the regular Carrera, the wide rear was more a case of 'ghetto booty'.

Sidenote: Something made me laugh today. I saw a Cayman driver diss a Boxster guy who pulled up next alongside at the lights and complimented him.

Are you sure this is the S2K forum, why don't we all get out in our S2Ks and drive them like stink and forget about Porsches, Elises and BMW M Coupes.

I want to read about S2000s

I drove both when I was looking to buy.
The C2 drove well but there were a few things that just wasn't right. One is the lack of PASM as standard and many cars do not have it. Many of the C2's are older 3.4 engined cars. The newer ones have and will continue to depreciate as there are a lot of them around.

The C4 (or S) doesn't really feel that much different. It feels more settled and has the ability to perform (lots)

The C4s also looks lovely and holds its money much better.
Turbo brakes are superb too

I'm biased but I'd look for a facelfit 3.6 C4S but it really depends on your budget.

Yep, 993 C4S everytime! 993 Turbo S if I had the money!!

Having said that I love the 996 C4S too, but would be very happy with a 3.6 C2.
