Range rover
So... Pay 260 a month 0% for a cheapo plastic chariot, that's not yours, and have 15k to spunk up at the end of the balloon.. and wave the money supermarket flag ? Doesn't work..
they're in the top 10 the puma for UK car new purchases because ford couldn't flog em, so are now doing so cheaply... Because it's overpriced anyway. Warranty .. yeah you'll need that pal, for sure haha!
Buy 4-5 years old, prestige, and look after it.
youn pays your money and take your choice
We already own ours and no issues

And it's waaaaay better than a plastic Ford

OT I'd not buy a diesel, especially if I lived near any major town/city. They will all have low pollution zones before long, and whilst Euro 6 are allowed now, they won't be.
Diesel sales have tanked, no-one really wants them any more, so selling on may prove tricky.
The Golf is a very nice place to sit, though, way better than any Honda I've sat in, though it's been a while.
The only real problem with mine has been the regular Park Pilot falt codes, though it seems to work anyway. Probably spider or dirt related.
Mines 6 years old and has only done 26k miles. so there is still time.
Got the BEV to cope with city travel but no LEZ in Notts and no desire to drive to Londonistan any time soon.. the Palestine protests would irk me somewhat
I think Kistin is correct on this, the barbarians are not at the gates, they are inside
will continue to research. I am a fan of low tax but not at the expense of it being able to move
No issues with the two GTDs we had though she said the latter had crashy suspension. Seats were fine. MPG was only 45 around town, 60+ on a schlepp
They were anondyne but capable mile munchers. If I could convince her I would get another but there is no way

Thankfully we're all entitled to an opinion and you'll not change mine after running a fleet of those hybrid A4 things at the last company, they are an absolute no from me and that's before you talk about the Dealership and warranty experience which was both plentiful and woeful. As a potential private second hand purchase, absolutely not, not ever.
Time for me to leave this to you S2k owners - I'm out

I'm trying to refrain from throwing cheap insults here and i normally tolerate your forum smugness with a wry smile. Every so often you can have a bite - there is an issue with your car and it's the blinkered fool behind the wheel of it.

Fleet ... Depends how they're driven, normally thrashed aren't they ?
Anything used that's owned, is down to you to service properly and look after. That, pal, is the point. Or lean on a warranty if one CBA spannering on a daily But that's left to your del sol
I won't buy a 30k fiesta on stilts because ford are broke, no ta, nor be sucked in on 0% . Not an insult, an opinion. They are cheap inside , it is what it is.
I'll defend our Audi so don't insult them , simples !
I'd agree if I had any terrible experience owning, but, alas, internet rubbish is written in my opinion and I don't believe it. Porous heads, haha, good one that!
Get your facts right, and don't get uptight

Edit : I have to add... "Blinkered fool behind the wheel of it".. you do realise this isn't my car, it's my wife's?
I'll say again, no issues since buying for almost 3 years. Faultless.. Audi's can be ran as private owners cars by the way. Jesus....
Unsurprisingly that the insult is thrown from yourself and I'm actually embarrassed for you. I won't bother retorting back. By all means, whimper out the thread

Opinion and fact are 2 different things.

Rog is right, a CRV is right size and the state of the roads warrant 4x4 ATM. Beard grey would suit.
Where the french are renowned for ride quality the Germans are not.. the CX Mazda also ruled out for this.
That ecotec 1 litre with wet belt is not my bag but I don't spose that motor is in Festas car

I think they're all the 1 litre ecobooooost with hybrid help, unless it's the 200ps ST 1.5 boost that's in the outgoing fiesta st. Many a long termer I've read about, the puma 1 litre does a combined real world average 42mpg.
I was in Honda over the summer picking up a part for the S, and borked at the price of the CRV in the showroom. They're a fortune.
As is the Civic. Bonkers money they're asking.
I feel that the Seat dealer next door is booming with sales, their pitch is always busier. It's on the slog into Wigan at the weekend. A few of these manu's have upped their game. Even voxalls Astra looks very good, alas ID3-ish somewhat.
Minefield and glad it's not mine yet - alas though, we'll borrow our friends 21 reg Q3 for a weekend should we wish to trade up in the short term.
Good luck with the find
