If I set to £14-15k there are quite a few various miles even 5yo within 'e' driving range to go try out
That lumbar support seems to be ubiquitous. I guess it's part of the driver's seat they fit as standard.

edit: if you haven't already I would poke around the owners forum(s). Pick up some dirt to override her bleating 'Qashqai' ...?
Oh yes you are right whatever it is will rapidly take on board kilos of dirt. Old food. Used coffee cups. Swimming caps etc

Yeah, I think a go in the 2.2 td and 1.5turbo petrol and we will see

Ride quality is the key factor, Nissan is average, Mazda is stiff alas (gets great reviews on all else), Kia of that age are not good motors, I don't do french or nazi really though I have pondered the former, which is mad as my experience was so far beyond piss poor

Exp of the latter was fragile, dull, expensive

None of that appeals with a white good driver like err indoors

Because our ladies expect us to do the groundwork/ review / pull a car to pieces before buying, - what matters I guess is what she wants.
I utterly hate those Kadjar things myself, but, if err indoors wishes to have one - I'd happily oblige. But privately bork.
That includes a Puma or whatever else she fancied. SUVs in pretty much all guises are boring, rubbery heavy sloggers, with not much soul. Compared to drivers cars, they are very much wanting. So I've always said to my lass at car purchase time - why not get something luxury that's affordable, and as long as it's not crashy or laggy and has excellent history, drive it, see how it feels. Or just get what you want !
I know thats probably not helping much. MG are also popular up this next of the woods , alas I hear of electrical unreliability from friends that have one, and regretted buying. Cheap ass segment do the necessary I guess most of the time like Pumas and quashkangs, such is the case they are invisible to desire to me, and carry dirty sprogs and animals just fine.
I guess the nazi wagons have the quality interiors covered but I understand the worry of silly gremlins costing a fortune to fault fix. In reality, there's never much to worry about based on excellent history - earlier German tanks were most certainly requiring a need to buy with eyes wide open. M cars tended to be crashy, entry level S line also suffering a harsher ride than necessary.
You can buy so much for 15k now

I'd argue that last bit isnt true mate

15 large does not go far

Anyways, poking about watching YouTube reviews is occupying me for now and means I don't need to feel the pain. Can the qash make another year? Probably. Engine is fine, box and clutch fine, interior a bit ****ed, suspension is bad, I assume a new rack for next MOT

But maybe I'll just wait for the failure and buy that bike I fancy?

Off to the classic show at the NEC on Friday, it's 52 miles each way

Option 1 - take the comfy ish e, boot it, charge somewhere to ensure I get back

2 - sod charging, brave pill, hypermile it

3 - take the boosted bastard, do 13 mpg and hope it doesn't rain as my track tyres I don't use on track are shyte in the wet

My NA is sorn, it's too cold for the bike

The range on the BEV is bollocks this time of year

I prefer 3. Sod 5, I had a cold shower this morning, I rarely get sick and when I had covid last time I barely noticed

3 is a bit brutal for the back though, which is on the mend

Anyway, let's see what the weather holds for me

Option 2 would be a safe option if you had my right foot / driving habits.

Just charged overnight to 100% / range 137 miles. Sorted.

Added 22.9kWh for the princely sum of £1.72.
But you know all that and are on to it
