First priority is to reduce your footprint of roadside clutter. Sell the SC S2000 and 'e' to fund one of these.
AWD 2 engines ~500bhp range ~300 miles 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds. Boot size is limited but it isn't not after the 'e'. Shit colours only
Then seek a big cash contribution for upgrading 'Er Indoors to a younger model of what she fancies
I am talking about her car. A much younger Qashqai mate.
Pistonheads reviewed it https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-...h-review/47820. They say get the cheapest @£ 31k. But. It's a Volvo. And it's made in China. End of. Although I am delighted they can make a BEV that isn't a joke and sell it for 31k. Actually FT and WSJ are reporting extensive BEV Mfr price dumping, now because of falling demand. But very soon when the chinese enter the market in a big way. With very competitive prices (they are presently charging double in EU compared to China. That will change soon.
As an investment the stock S is way better than the blown one, which also has to live outside in our rust-favourable climate. I found the supercharger one I had was less balanced a drive, on full chat it wanted to take off or so it felt to me. The aerodynamics needed tweaking and the brake calipers tended to stick. Trouble is, once you take the car outside the manufacturer's envelope it's a never ending spiral as you spend money 'enhancing'. We all think we can improve the bhp/torque/brakes/road-holding but seldom get it all right at the same time.
One day you can build something better to keep the fleet snug. Mate of mine had summat similar to the below.
He had for a while F348 and F40 one side. Other side Porsche GT3 and a Turbo for road trips. His Fezzas have since gone to a 458 then to a 488 the F348 being traded in. It had never been the same since a big smash one wet night at the bottom of the M1.
I could sell all 3 and put some cash in and get something with a badge of course. I'd need to get bummed by a stealer on something like that and wouldn't learn anything at all
So here I am, one reliable daily, one mental thing, less reliable, one classic which I can still tinker with
I would love a lift though. Changing the cat was a challenge for my sketchy shoulder. Many expletives were expleted.
