[QUOTE=wineboar,Nov 25 2006, 08:33 AM] There's a roundabout coming in to Glasgow that has 2 sets of traffic lights one after another. The further away set change before the ones in front of you when approaching from one side but they are thre set yo would naturally look at when waiting.

It is a pretty regular occurance to see people shoot off onto the roundabout while still on a red light simply because the set further round have changed.

I did it myself just after I first came up here

There's at least one in Edinburgh I pass regularly Iain (unless you're implying we're not civilised )

Blackhall Kwik-Fit (where Queensferry road forks heading east) - the camera is on the Telford road side.

Sorry to hear about the 'incident' fingers crossed there is no film.

I used to think that there should be red light cameras on every set of traffic lights, as it's a bit of a pet hate of mine.

Howevermy opinion quickly changed when I read the story about the guy who got fined moving out of the way for an ambulance - an absolute disgrace.

Can't think of any traffic light cameras in the civilised part of the UK. The only one that I can remember was in Edinburgh, and it's been removed.

Yet another reason to live in Scotland.
Although no doubt it's because I'm not very observant.
There's a few around Glasgow - a couple in the city centre and one on Gt Western Rd at Hyndland.

You calling us West Enders uncivilised?

Been in Glasgow a lot lately, but just tend to park on the outskirts and walk. Whereabouts in the centre?

One on St Vincent St I think it is, heading West towards the M8. Pretty sure there is one heading out East as well.

Where do you class as the outskirts - I would have though that would be EK?

Car parks at the edge of the city centre. eg: St. Enochs, Waterloo Street.

Come on, you can do better than just St. Vincent Street! There must be 10 sets of lights.
