Default Rossi for F1

Well folks, as quoted on Eurosport today, 'Rossi has signed a contract or agreement for the 2007 season for Moto GP'.

There you have, the romour mill can have a break for another year. After watching todays race at Mugello, I'm glad hes staying, makes for interesting racing....albeit on two wheels.

Schumacher had a pillion ride round MMugello this morning on a Ducati two seater with Randy Mamola, looked stiff as anything. Somehow I don't think he was too comfortable hahaha.

Rossi said in MCN the other weekn that he didn't want to be an "F1 Robot". I'm glad he's staying tbh. That race at Mugello has to be one of the all time great races on two wheels.

Glad to see that Stoner was okay after his aweful off early on, when he was hunting down Rossi and Gibernau.

What a shame F1 is not as much fun to watch as Moto GP is.

He anounced this about 2 weeks ago. He only said why the other day though.

Has to be one of the best races I've seen in the last coupl of years. to Stoner, seemed ok when he got back to the pits.

Its a shame F1 is'nt nowhere near as intersting as Moto GP. I'm already looking at the Jerez Gp next year as I only live bout an hour - hour and a half away (depending on the drive!! lol)

Thinking of either driving up and camping out, or going with a mate on his GSXR 1000 just for the day. See how it goes, either way, looks like being bags of fun.

Great race.

Im not so sure Rossi did that well in an F1 car, hence it was a non starter...

When he last tested an F1 car at Catalunya, alongside other F1 drivers he was about 1 second off the pace. Which isn't bad in anyones book.

I'd love to have seen him in F1, as I'd think he'd really shake things up. But as he said, it's all about the machine and not about the driver anymore. Rossi is a real flamboyant character in MotoGP, and he'd never be aloud to pull off any of this trackside "stunts" like he does in MotoGP.

I still laugh when I see that photo of him, giving his mate in a chicken suit a lift back to the pits

I also remember when he pulled over after winning and got changed into his Robin Hood outfit lol

Been quite a few funny 'costume' changes.

Chili is also one of the great performers, on and off the track - top bloke, always having time for the public. Shame he is retiring this year.
