Last night another Shell garage attendant told me that "Optimax" was soon going to be re-branded as "V-Power" plus the octane was going to be increased by 1 to 99 octane. That's second time I've been told recently.

Also apparently if you get a an Optimax Shell points card ( not the ordinary Shell points one I have) you get twice as many Shell points?

Yes you do get double points on optimax if you have an optimax points card. Had mine for a while and it's quite worthwhile

Should be good if they are upping the RON level but I am sure the price will rise too

Oh well more logic behind me having a fuel card.
