.... and rust doth corrupt ....
Two TR6s and a TR4A turned up in Blackwaterfoot whilst I was over on holiday.
IIRC, the TR6s had straight sixes as standard and the TR4A a 2.1 four cylinder engine. However, all three cars sounded like they had V8s, although that could just have been the rumbly stainless steel exhausts.
Great old cars ...

The sound the TR made Shisky was, together with the twin SU carbs sitting under their power bulge, one of my joint favourite features of the car. The engine was originally developed for the darling Little Grey Fergie tractor and later used in the Standard Vanguard. It is rather agricultural and sounded much more powerful than it actually was. Hope that sound is retained when the restoration is eventually complete.
I like the clean rear end of that TR4A. Wouldn’t do away with the rear bumper on ours as we want it as original as possible.
I saw a pretty young blonde woman this afternoon leaving the property opposite in a powder blue Sunbeam Alpine/Tiger. Maybe we will be able to get together for a powder blue classic mini-meet when the TR comes home?

Thanks for posting those Paul.
I love the clean look of the TR without bumpers. Mr Q snapped this powder blue, very similar to your example, at The Panshanger Revival on Sunday.

We are going for the original look so ours should be more like this red on when it is done.
