I'm sure it will be a decent enough car, but I agree with the general sentiment that it is way over-priced, even at

Sorry MG-lovers, but it looks vastly over-priced to me for what it is....... And the most chest-wiggish mid-life-crisis-mobile t'other side of a TVR..... No class at all.

Eh? Gordon Murray designed the MG?? If I were Rover I'd be pluging this like there is no tomorrow!!

As for the '911 type stuff' I reckon that getting 105bhp/litre+ out of a normally aspirated flat 6 and well over 1G lateral acceleration out of a rear engined RWD car is still pretty damn good from the boys at Stuttgart

Styling is a matter of personal taste and build quality is yet to be proven.... I doubt it will sway most from their choice of a proven German package.

Chris, Gaddafi, Welshman:

They normally refurb the wheels before you receive the car, rather than have some cnut destroy them again on a test drive!

Main dealers generally accept you will knock 5K off list price without debate.

-That's in my experience, anyway!

Anyway, the LBPB looks stunning. If I could find

It would be good to see MGR have some good luck for a change.

Every twist of their recent history seems to have been blighted by bad luck, for example being asset-stripped by BAe and the BMW/Exchange rate debacle.
