A 2003 WRX has a KW of 1395kg and with 275bhp it would do 0-60 in 5s dead, 0-100 in 13.4 and 60-100 in 8.5s according to letstorquebhp's calculations. It would also 1/4er in the 13s with a trap of over 100mph. Fairly nippy overall
Interesting - the 06 (Hawkeye) STi is only 280bhp, weighs more (1495) and 392nm torque. 0-60 is 5.4

I have a slow car compared to a WRX

Dreamer, I was advising Mike on what a modified WRX would achieve. To get the 275bhp you'd probably need a full decat exhaust, a 3-port soleniod and a remap so you are quite safe for now. FWIW though I've played with an 03 WRX with those mods in the S2000 and it was easily as quick as a non-ppp STI.

Non PPP STi is allegedly 265 bhp - they dont quite make that on a dyno, nor does a PPP ever make 305

Realistically no turbo car is going to make its full quoted road power on a dyno. Runs are usually done in 4th gear and there is no air resistance load to get the boost you'd want and probably not enough air flow from the fans through the intercooler.

Evo's do.

Ive been on dozens of dyno days now, and Impreza's just dont make the quoted power. I know a good reason why they dont make the quoted figures on the PPP cars.

Boost and air flows are good on a well setup Dyno Dynamics.

Taking nowt from the scoob as im neutral on that front!

Furry Muff I've never been a fan of dyno's or had much trust in the figures they produce. The butt dyno and a 402m long flat surface is good enough for me

Its just an observation though, you know me, I wouldnt dig at Subaru! Did you know PE developed the PPP, and you know what their rollers generally read?

Must have a PM catch up soon...

Ok aside from the Evo (no estate version) how important is mileage on these cars?
I have an 03 with 60k miles on the clock that I may go and look at. That kind of miles in that time must have been mostly motorway I guess but should it be a problem if it has FSSH?

Anything in particular I should be looking for?
