Might sound silly, but.......new Civic Turbo Diesel.

I was given one for the day a couple of weeks ago and it shook my world - I just couldn't believe what a nice, entertaining and quick car it was.

Dont discount it until you have test driven one.

Didn't know the S-Lines A4 would be in the price range, had an A4 before and was very pleased with it.

Hatchbacks are just the little bit too small for me, bit upset by the reports on the 320d as that was deffo going on the short list!

Think I'm gonna have to do the maths on a 330 & 325 and also the A4 - will keep you updated as to the outcome

My advice would be get something practical that you don't care quite so much if it gets dinged in a car-park...keep the S as your 'favourite' car.

I'd also suggest 18-30months old...let some other sap take the depreciation hit.

And agreed on diesel...they're surprisingly good now, and it'll make the VTEC so much more fun when you switch back to the S.
