When I sold my Scooby, I made the buyer wait in the car whilst I went into the bank with the money. Got them to check it over and make sure it was real!

Make sure your bank is open at the time/date she wants to give you the cash though.

When I bought my current car, the S, I paid cash for it and that was over 10k.

I spoke to HSBC today, and they dont seem to give a toss, she said just bring it in - the amount isnt enough to raise eye brows - I will still insist on receipt etc

That person doesn't know what they are talking about.

Mark is about right, although I think it's in Euros now.
