Jail does seem a little harsh!

A fine and/or community service might have been a better soloution.

But at the end of the day, what a stupid bint!

I've heard about this before, except the guy was stupid enough to brag about it on a car forum. Cops were reading the forum, traced him via car pics (and thus his registration) he posted and jailed him.

She deserves a kick in the hole though for being a stupid hoor and not getting her story straight, and forging someone's signature...

Perverting the course of justice is perverting the course of justice though - she knew what she was doing was wrong.

If the courts didn't take a dim view of the accused taking them for a ride then folk would take the pi$$ all the time.

IMHO the fact that it was a speeding fine is incidental to this case.

If you're going to risk doing something like that you have to make it watertight, and they had a front-on picture of her driving! What an idiot. That said, jail is a bit harsh...

i agree that she was stupid.. no question.. what she did was wrong.. no question again.. but she tried to avoid a speeding ticket, not a murder conviction or anything remotely serious!!!

jail for that is ridiculous..

a kick up the hoop would be OK

punishment needs to fit the crime, a lot of people will have considered or done this in recent years thanks to Blairs speed tax...

she should appeal to the european court of human rights.

or get out and shoot blair in the face from a grassy knoll (my prefered option)
