So then..........

Im sending it back, after getting another opinion from RR at the weekend Ive decided the paint just isnt good enough - it is orange peel central.

Im sure the body shop will love me, it was due in today to fix a number of minor issues however I called to say I wouldnt be bringing it in. I now need to call the insurer to tell them Im not happy and they need to fix it...............

Not sure what the reaction will be?!
I did think it was too peely, as I said when we met

I don't like that very slight crease either

Unless you get both sorted, it will affect re-sale - prospects and price

I imagine the reaction from the bodyshop will be less than enthusiastic

Insurer may be better

Fook me, like anyone cares, but Captains log, stardate: shitepaintshop08

So - the list of jobs now as follows:

re spray - remove orange peel
petrol filler cap doesnt shut properly
number plate has body shop companies name!
Attention left and right window seals - bad marks
near side rear window - seal leaking water/makes noise on m-way
paint tagged on near side window
paint tagged on drivers side bump strip
CD changer not working
roller missing from boot mechanism
Significant lack of paint in rear boot area

Brilliant - going in Friday - who wants to bet how many weeks it takes them - Im documenting it with photos and putting it all in writing for both the bodyshop and the insurers.

Andy sorry to hear the situation goes from bad to incompetent. Just make sure you do as you are and document everything

Every experience I've had getting cars repaired has been a nightmare - especiallywhen it comes to bodywork.

Good luck getting it sorted!

PersonallY I would get the badges back, otherwise it's a hint when it comes to resale etc.

Yeah, I hate it - I've had lacquer that peeled off after a few weeks, being charged for things they haven't done, etc. etc. People wondered why I didn't want the S back after it was rear ended, but I just couldn't face the hassle!

I was not amused. The stag wasn't insured either.
Was he drunk?
