Bad luck chap.

No ideas, but you can bet when 50% of the population's driving whilst disqualified, they'll get all liberal hand-wringy about it.

4 years.

But to be totally honest, 54 in a 30 is well out of my sympathy "range".

I'm not after sympathy but thanks anyway, just having a quick rant. I can't condone what I did so I held my hands up & replied promptly to any correspondence received.

If you knew the road & the circumstances you may well understand why I was doing 24 over the limit. It was a moments lapse, mind elsewhere.

you have to know the road tbf

as I've said before, the road leading to where I live is nsl

but you would have to be a moron to do more than 40mph on it

so legal, but dangerous

otoh, my most recent ticket was for 62 on a 50mph (non-res, non-urban d/c) at 0600

Gad, that local knowledge you have of the road is fair enough, and doing 33% below the speed limit is would be locally grown wisdom.

Being caught between 3 and 6 mph above a 30mph is a momentary lapse but almost 100% above the limit is tuff titty.

If he had local knowledge of the road then why didn't he know the speed limit or the fact that there is a camera / police haunt? If he saw the road was single carriageway with street lights but no speed signs then still this should say 30 mph to him. Obviously I am making a lot of assumptions here and could guess my way to the facts and to be fair MM wasn't whinging per se so I guess I need to hear more facts

3 years for totting up
4 years on your license
5 years for insurance

Yep most likely will make a difference to your insurance

Bell Direct don't weight up their premiums for minor speeding offenses.

Guess who I'm insured with
