I heard we're also going to be allowed to pay monthly by direct debit, so no bi-annual faff.

And you don't really notice a few quid a month price increase...

As long as the process of SORNING/taxing it becomes a couple of clicks and not the usual BS, it's probably a good thing.

Yep, first thing we said too - there's a price hike coming...

I've got to admit that I've been lazy and haven't bothered putting my new disk in since it arrived.

The old one expired at the end of October.

So what you need is a fleet of cars, same model, same colour, same spec - make sure your drivers all look the same and you can run them all on one reg number.

Going to be some very happy TAXI firms

An article I saw mentioned that the current 10% surcharge for buying 6-months, rather than 12-months will be reduced to 5%, and this will probably apply to paying monthly as well.

It goes up pretty much every year, so a price-hike shouldn't be news to anyone really.

£7million saved apparently (although that's a government estimate, so it'll be much less in reality).

A colleague of my late father used to do this aeons ago; he ran two identical SS Jaguars and switched plates between the cars.

Not sure why...

Anyone want to buy a nice alloy blue waterproof bike tax disc holder?

May as well try & sell it now before it's worthless :-)
