Which brings me onto my frustration - why I pay the same VED as someone who does triple my annual mileage? Why not scrap VED and put an extra penny on fuel duty?
The amount of fuel duty and VAT I pay every month is about the same as a year's VED, so I never quite understood why people moan so much about road tax.
I however, would end up paying a small fortune on my main car but then minimal on my weekend toy so should balance out and be fair.

Does the government realise that it's going to do nosey old fecking busy bodies out of a job?
What will these old feckers do when they can't walk around checking tax discs and reporting people if your tax has lapsed by one day?
