Default Thinking of replacing the S

Ok, had the S a year now, we like to change cars fairly regually.... looking at options..... may change the car in about 2 months just after MOT is renewed my wife is the main driver of the car and the car must be:

Fast-ish
Convertable
Fun
Usable everyday

Budget is around 20k but can move either way, eg. dont have to spend all 20k and would pay more for the right car.

Considered so far
M3's
XK8
VX220
Elise

Would prefer some boot space for weekend luggage, but not essential.

As you can see from options above, we are thinking of any car that fits the criteria.

Dont want:
MX5
TVR (I do but she doesn't)
TT (cant afford the new shape)
Z4

Any other ideas or advice welcome.

I went the M3 Cab route 2 years ago replacing my S2000

Great all round car for the money

Running costs are higher than a S2000

I'm loving the 111R. Would recommend it - as long as you don't have a significant daily commute.

Don't think you would get an Exige for 20k, and you want a convertable!

The roof does come off, but not that easy!

Boxster - they drive very well
SLK, not my cup of tea, but may tick your boxes.
350Z convertible down to those prices yet?

Alfa Brera Spider?

Just realised, you MAY find a 911 996 convertible on a high mileage for that price.
