Time for a Change
Last month when they acquired it it was ticketed at £29k, ridiculously over priced compared to the main dealer 100m away!
I just typed it in Google and hey ho its on ebay. You cant give them away!!!

No one seems to have suggested one of these, so I will; a Maserati GranTurismo
A bit of haggling might get this close to your budget and it's a Ferrari in all but name - but more exclusive.

They sound fantastic. But AFAIK not quite such a drivers tool as the rest of your choice, although probably comparable to a jag.
Boxster R/Spyder? Not a V8, but worth a try?
40k gets you a 996 GT3, depreciation will be practically nil, running costs not too high if you don't track it or do high mileage. Although it's not a V8. Or as new as you'd like. But they are bulletproof.
Dave, if it was me making the choice, it'd be the M3.

5.0XKR is ALOT better with the adaptive suspensionBoxster Spyder roof is a PITA and a waste of time no good for real use (like Blurter does)
996GT3 Mk1's are holding very well but IF that engine goes you are looking at big ££ and its probably too old for Blurter.
The Aston V8's are a dry sump evolution of the old XK engine never heard of one going, Bamford Rose rebuild them to GT4 spec and get nearly 500 BHP out of them!
Dave - get and drive some!
£21k engine bill in a GT3.
BUT.... I think failures are very rare. You can also get the ECU checked for overrev limits. Mine has zero, for example, but there are a lot of cars over level 4 (0-6)
Hence buy from Porsche or a reputable specialist.

Again, thanks for the responces folks
Pol - that MGT is amazing. I thought I was the only one breave/daft enough to spec yellow/full red interior
Some more thoughts on my decision -
The dealer was excellent giving me as much time as I needed looking around the car, checking out the various functions, and letting the engine reach operating temperature before driving. I had a good test drive of over an hour on all road types, which really gave me proper feel for the car. After kicking around some numbers we came to a deal I was happy with. They're fitting a Tracker to give me more options on the insurance front. I'm picking the car up on Saturday.
Have I made the right choice? Who knows, only time will tell. I'm sure any of the cars would be great but, for me, right now, I'm more than happy with my decision.

- Every time I see this car (and it's not very often) I think it looks fantastic.
- The more I read about the specification, stats, technology, engine, the more impressed I am.
- When I was sat in the car last weekend, Kathryn said something she did not say about the other cars in the list, "that, is the car for you"!
