Default Time For A Change?

Mulling over swapping the S for something else after 7 months of ownership. It is my daily commuting car (circa 50 miles per day) and I have a Lotus Elise for weekend fun. Test drove a Renaultsport Clio 200 with cup suspension today and was well impressed with the grip and power delivery - not as powerful as the S but I think probably more suited to my daily commuting route (a few country backroads then main road queuing into Birmingham city centre).

What to do. Any comments?

As a former Renaultsport owner (Cupped 182 and R26), both new cars at the time, my advice is make friends with your local dealer if you get one, because you'll spend a lot af time there. They drive well, but only on the rare occasions when they aren't having something else replaced or re-fitted.

Civic Type R EP3 anniversary edition, would be my choice of daily commute with no reliability issues and loads of fun

My daily driver is a megane 250 and i have had next to no problems in nearly 2 years (only prob is the door jamb needed adjustment).

Build quality seems to have come on leaps and bounds since the last model, same with the clios too im led to believe.

I've owned three Renaultsport Clios in the past. A 182 for just under three years and 20,000 miles - Not one problem and had used it on five or six track days.
A 197 R27, for three years and 25,000 miles - used on six or seven track days. Problems I had with this car was the radiator cooling fan worked loose, cut into the radiator. This was replaced under warranty. I also had both Recaro seats replaced due to early wear and also the subframes as they rusted - (known and common faulton 197s fitted with Recaros.)
Last car was a 200 with cup pack and Recaros - Never really bonded with it, so sold it after nine months - issue with this one was a knocking top mount, which the local Renault never fixed.

So I wouldn't really worry about them falling apart. My favourite was the 197 R27 (really regretted selling it to get the 200.)

You won't regret one as your daily runner.

Because I have a Lotus Elise as my fun car and I am looking for something I bit more useable on a day to day basis. I found the Clio fun to drive and found the power a bit more accessible. Also for a FWD car it handled amazing.
