Do the seats need coding to the car Mark?
Worth checking with your suppliers, they may have different functions...

They do Steve, but it's fairly simple. There's an article on the web (Thorney) which makes it sound impossible but it's not bad. he ones i'm getting have a module thing with them and a coding guide.

Do they come with the optional automatic lumbar tensioner that cuts in to protect your lower back from the G forces of the acceleration at full throttle?

Not being cheeky as I know you know your stuff mate - but getting set up for coding is a real PITA.
Its a lot more tricky than it looks and thats assuming you have the interface?
Amd if it goes bad you can trash the ECU or a big portion of it so do be careful.

Personally I'd get the dealer onto it, or a trusted specialist with autologic.

They are the best seats I have used. So comfy on long runs too and the support is excellent on track.
Many are made in leather which is just daft as it defeats the object.
Like to see this thing sometime. I still want one

Nice, those seats look great, especially with the reassuring M-tax

Try not to go too mad with the bling, there's a point where too much posh has the opposite effect.

How are you getting on with in general?

Any week day track days planned? I've got some time on my hands now and still haven't had the E46 out with (or without) its new stoppers.

Just the seats, mirror covers and small front spoilers planned, Graham

Probably wont bother with black wheels, although they were a standard option on the Alpine edition and do look good. I was talking to a guy with an Akrapovic the other day, who said the car goes to about 445bhp just by removing the cats. A remap on top will see about 460. But that's a warranty killer and I shaln't be doing it.

Very much enjoying the car and doing exactly what I needed from it. It's comfy / quiet over a long run, different enough to still be exciting and it's rocket ship fast. DCT is very impressive and really suits the car but I have to admit to missing a gear stick. Except when in traffic When you are on it, it's very effective. Ive found using the gear lever to shift instead of the paddles is a halfway house

Other downsides are the fuel consumption. It's honestly ridiculous.

Seats and bits in.

Seats were easy, 4 bolts and the connectors just plug in. Just got to get the car to BMW to do the coding to clear the air bag fault.

Shitty weather pics...
