Seems to not be round Nur', so I guess you are right.

IIRC it was beaten by the Porsche CGT, Pagani Zonda & Koenigsegg. And got the same time as the 997 Turbo, 997 GT3 and the SLR.
That's got my subversive mind going...

It's just possible to get 1,000BHP out of a Skyline. That's got 4wd.

I'd like to see that go against a Veyron.

Inverted snobbery rules OK!

I think the power delivery in the Bug is better.
Veilside (apart from making horrid body kits) got over 1200 bhp out of thier R34.
Supposed to be able to get 250+ mph.

Never heard if it did.

Wednesday @ 7pm .. from the BBC

http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/show/nextepisode.shtml

That's the time for the repeat of the 'next' episode, so I assume it is for the 'current' one.

The current series definately seems dumbed down - the Hugh Grant thing and trip to the chippie! What happend to the cool wall and the illegal road triips that kept us guessing what would happen next.

Mind you 5th Gear is really trashy and Vroom Vroom - what the hell is that! (apart from the lovely Ms Rogers)

Dumbed down?
I think to get the big names on they have to bargain a bit - would you want to see the same 5 celebrities (mostly chefs) rock up every week?
And the trip to the chip shop was a very small part of a bigger article with a very good point, so I don't think you can just pick on that instance.

IIRC the cool wall was only on about 3 or 4 times in the last series, it would be a bit stale if the format (car: news: SIARPC: road trip: Stig: Car) was followed every week wouldn't it.

And repares to be shot down in flames: I don't think any of the road trips were illegal. Unless you count possibly breaking the speed limit as rendering the whole trip illegal.
