The hairs on the back of my neck were standing up watching that Veyron clip. Beautifully executed, and no funny business with the camera - 407km/h being filmed.

French Connection UK me.

Never really felt stirred by the Veyron, despite its obvious engineering supremacy, but that clip has started to tip the balance. Awesome!

Thought last night's show was ace, still felt a bit lightweight though. But if the train story got pulled I can see why. Stupid to do it, however - like you say, even with TG's treatment, it would've be educational. And Hugh 'BJ' Grant was plugging, but he was also (surprisingly) funny.

from me.

Apparently the 2.0T is better as it feels lightweight, the 3.2 is a heavy car.

I think the best choice is to wait for the TTS - which will have the Audi S3's 2.0T and is likely to have 270+ bhp and 4WD. It should be under 1400kg too.

The S3 has already posted a 13.7 sec 0-100mph.
While I take that on board, I'd like to experience the V6 sound etc nevertheless

No, was talking about the RX7 vs RX8.

The RX8 might be good but it lacks the exotic factor of the 7 IMO.

although I do quite like the Rex8. I would say if they did a turbo version of it I'd be interested. Until then, my favourite Mazda remains the RX-7.

The Stig was clearly having far too much fun playing with the RX-8 to put in a good lap time. What a chassis!
Thats why it was slower

1min 31 for a FWD TT is very good going, considering the times for the S2000, Boxster and Z4 were in the 1:34's in the wet.

That Alfa looked f**king hopeless, especially on the brakes!

The TT did look very composed for FWD.

Great if you like that sort of thing. Bodes well for the Scirocco, though!

If they made a V8 (like the engine from the new S4) TT I'd probably buy it.

I looked at those 3 cars and thought it's such a shame that Honda never introduced the DC5 in the UK cause it would have spanked them all IMO.
