You can only explain it was an honest mistake and hope they're in a good mood.

It's a bloody wake-up call for all of us, though!

I just checked my s2000 policy and it has been removed in the ;last year or 2 .

I phoned them up and they have reeinstated it free of charge .

Just shows you cant take these things for granted

i got back from the police station they have stated that my policy does not allow me to drive other vechicles however they mis looked the document the dates did not correspond they asked me to contact the insures to get confirmation

i have contacted elephant .co.uk they have stated that my policy doesnt cover me to drive other vechicles does that mean im boned

Turns out I'm insured to drive two other cars at once. Which is nice.

But since I'm also a named driver or own the other cars I usually drive, it's a bit confusing.

well my insurance policy doesnt state ican dirve other cars but on my duplicate it clearly states i cannot drive other cars
so which leads me to belive i can up until they issued me a duplicate

Your policy would have to state positively that you could drive other cars - there is not assumption legally that you are covered (it's just a contract like any other).

My policies alway used to specifically cover me for other cars, but I'm not sure now................ just off to check
