Just don't drive his car to the police station!

I'd take both forms and point out the first had you covered, and they you wrongly assumed that the 2nd cover note had the same.

Apologise, menton you'dnever have done it if you'd known, and see what they say.

He can't!! as his original doesn't specify he was entitled to drive other vehicles TPO, he just assumed, like a lot of people i guess, that if your fully comp you get drive other vehicles automatically. So therefore he wasn't covered and dibble will probably slap him for an IN10!!!!

Thing that irks is that IF Mugen had done it deliberately & recklessly, he'd probably get sent on a karting course instead of the fine & six points.

I've just checked my Norwich Union policy and it states:
"....Liability to Third Parties, the policyholder may, subject to the owner's express consent also drive a motor car not belonging to him/her or hired to him/her under a hire purchase or lease agreement."

So that's the GOOD news....

However, mine (unbeknown to me until now) also states in another paragraph:
"...Excluding....Use for travel to and from a place of paid employment or for business purposes".
EEEK! I never use it FOR business, but I do sometimes use it to travel to work and back. Guess I need to phone NU and find out *HOW MUCH* extra this will cost.

Always make sure your policy is for "Social, Domestic & Commuting" if you use it to drive to and from work.
