So you are thinking of one as a fun road car?

My theory on stuff like this is that they are just often fast to have fun legally. They are by all accounts, ridiculously fast. Hence most people use them on track.

I'm starting to the think that of the Exige now too. I got a talking too last time I took it out (I only ever drive it for a blast / fun) and the car just wants you to do silly things
someone needs to lose some cash

doubt the thing would get used more than a few weekends in twelve months

I'm not sure you can have too fast - it's down to the driver how much power you use, after all

I've never had any difficulty pootling around in any of the fast cars I've owned

I see

Well as a bit of fun it must be right up there.

If it must be mentally fast, how about an R500? Or does it need to be of the serious muscle variety?

I can't help myself in fast cars - hence I go on more track days now. It's like therapy.

I don't like the look of Caterfields - and I like to admire the looks of cars I own

I also dislike 'small' engines and few cylinders in high performance cars

Got passed by one just like that about an hour ago

I thought maybe he'd have a slight power advantage over the Legacy so I moved over (and wound down the window ) when the road ahead cleared.

It sounded like he'd just tickled it and it was past me motorbike quickly

There was one on Burnie's New Year drive. I think Burnie knows the owner so might be able to put you in touch...

I understand the attraction Pete (though I am a little surprised that you are attracted to anything even remotely kit-car!

No 1st hand experience, but some close 2nd hand experience driving back from a Pistonheads Sunday Service meet about this time last year.....they can be a bit frisky!

Arriving:

Going (but not getting) home:
