No. Maranellesi (or whatever the correct demonym is. I need LTB's input.)

They have balsamic vinegar from Modena drizzled over their ice-cream there. Very important to use the best, beautifully viscous, oak barrel aged version.

Have just had a call from Saz who is at the NEC for Top Gear Live. She and her BIL are on the Classic Car Show Ferrari stand. The guy came up to them and said, "That car used to belong to Steve McQueen." Saz proudly replied, "I know, my friend detailed it for the show."

She has asked me to tell you Nut that it looks even better in the metal than in your pics. Well done.

Not just a great job and fantastic pics but what really does it for me and I have to say it gives me goosebumps, is that Steve McQueen, epitome of cool, owned it.That photo of him sitting in the car is priceless.Rock on Steve McQueen,Thanks for sharing.

As MQ said, I loved it that I already knew all about this car when talking to the guys on the Ferrari stand and my brother in law was really interested in the story. It was certainly getting a lot of attention and looked brand new in the flesh, well done again Nut, beautiful.

Excellent show

thank you very much for your kind words all of you, and yes the car is even more beautiful in the 'metal' ... I just got back from the show myself, could only manage to get there today (Sunday) what an amazing place, and some amazing machines.

The Yellow Ferrari I mentioned in this thread and the NEC one won the Concourse, best in show, my friend who was responsible for that was grinning all day long like Cheshire cat, and rightly so. I met up with him by the McQueen car, and he gave me a couple of VIP tickets to the Meguiars centre where they fed and watered us for free, and the owner of the Ferrari I detailed shook me by the hand thanking me for 'removing the swirls' from his beautiful car. Thanks for the pics Sazzy

What an experience!

It would have been Steve McQueen's 80th Birthday today.

I thought you might enjoy these few photos Nut
