Sorry didn't mean to suggest you're a tightarse, just more that there could be some gunk in your fuel pump .

Have a look at the DC5 ITR, much nicer than a CTR imo

K, I am no expert but I think it might be alarm/immobiliser by the sound of it?? or it might be something with regard to the fuel system, if the guage is playing up too.

Technical term - it is knackered!

A dc5 will be more to insure than a ctr as they are higher grouped, nice car though, was on my list before the wife picked out the S2k.

If the engine stalls, the EPS shuts off. Fine at speed, not so good at low speed if you are unused to non-PAS. Plus there is teh dead weight of the rack.

Watch out for lack of brake assistance too. You might need to give the pedal an almighty shove, by modern standards.

It could be a whole lot of things (electrickery things) which are impossible to diagnose accurately, from my conservatory. I presume there is no Check Engine Light showing.

Try turning it off & on again, by disconnecting teh battery +ve for a few seconds.

If it happens again, or if you are nervous about it, see your dealer.

The check engine light isn't on!

It is off to Honda first thing in the morning. Have been pricing up hire cars for the week as really can't see honda having a spare car for me to borrow at such short notice Going to play the I was thinking of changing my car in the next month or so card and see if they are interested in an extended test drive!!

Probably it got better within 100 yds of dealer.

These intermittent faults can be bastards to replicate.

Don't know, they can't look at it until tomorrow

As Nick says - it made it to the dealer without any problems! I really hope they find something wrong as i won't feel comfortable driving it otherwise. I'll constantly be worrying about it cutting out on the motorway and around here all the hard shoulders are full of cones and roadworks!!!
