Doesn't that provide rigidly to the front suspension? I'm not sure I would trade rigidity for lightness.

Being square with the specs on the coilovers and the gigantic FSB, I am already getting some push. Would like to actually loosen up the front to get a bit more front end grip (rotation).

I'm no expert, but here's my two cents. Presumably, bracing the front preserves your alignment under load. Consider if your front flexes in corners, it will deflect your outside tire inward and effectively increase the camber. You pay a lot for an accurate alignment; why give it up when you need it the most?

This looks similar to the Spoon setup. This is 100% worth it IMO. I felt the difference on my first drive.

If you don't have one on your car buy this and I will put it on your car for free! Nothing gets cut/modified putting this on, its a direct bolt on setup.
