Default ATTN: Those with shifter envy

Some people will click anything!

Anyway, for any folks that are interested in the prototype AxialFlow Engineering shifter on my car, check out the Group Buy forum: here

Rick's will be the exclusive distributor of the AxialFlow Engineering shifter, and has a group buy going for the first 60 production units at a reduced price of $229. The shifter is probibly my second favorite mod, next to the 4.57 final drive.

In the thread, Jeff (Stratocaster) says they should be shipping sometime next week if the delivery gods are kind. You know what that means -- your S needs a christmas present!!!

What sort of installation knowledge is necessary with a mod like this?

i.e. Time to install, tools needed, owner installable, etc.

Funny you should ask. I just finished the install doc for Jeff last night. It's available here: http://www.ricks2k.com/info/instructions/A...hortShifter.pdf

It's a 30 minute job, tops.

I've had mine ordered for about a week...woohoo !!!

Even though I've had my OEM shifter out to re-lube it, I appreciate your write up.

I don't have the Voodoo knob, so I will see how I like the short shifter with an OEM knob.

Tempting, tempting, tempting. Dang! Why so close to Christmas? ($$$) Still....will discuss it with Santa.

BTW, Bryan, EXCELLENT write-up on the installation instructions.

I had that thought too, but it was 10:30 and COLD in the garage. And, I figured it would still be cleaner than yours!
