Helmet (Snell 95 or newer, can be M or SA rated) and closed toe shoes are really the only requirement. Autocross is definately not as stressfull on the car as track days. Brake fluid won't need to be changed and definately won't need a flame proof suit. Most of us are usually just in t-shirts and shorts.

As its at an airport, it may be wise to bring along a hat of some sort, sunscreen, and a chair (chair isn't as important for the school. . .we stay pretty busy all day).

In terms of car prep, really just basic stuff. Making sure everything is bolted and tightened down, lugs are on good, etc. Also, you'll probably want to add some air to your tires so they don't roll onto the sidewall. Somewhere between 35-40psi should be fine. Its easy to take air out if needed. . .much tougher to get it back in if you're too low to start though.

Sorry you can't make it up Cajun.

There's still plenty of space available so everyone tell your friends.

Sounds good PJCC. Should be a lot of fun for everyone.

Still plenty of spaces open. And remember, there's an autocross the very next day, also at Danville Airport. Stick around if you have the time off and spend another day driving and see how you do in competition.

Just one more bump for our school this upcoming Friday and Saturday. Lots of space open, which if it doesnt get filled means you get even MORE time driving on Saturday.

It was fun. . .I hope everyone that was there learned a good bit. It was a little more disorganized that I personally would have liked but everyone got plenty of time in their cars and everyone I saw was dropping LOTS of time in the full course we ran in the afternoon.

And all I can say about the event yesterday is that I'm not looking forward to having to buy new tires. I'll have video of the Sunday event up tonight sometime.

The event was great. Lots of learning, plenty of seat time. No pictures this time. I forgot my camera. Tried to get some video but the battery bailed-out. Next time I'll prepare better.
