I've just relocated to Charlotte from San Diego, and I'm having some difficulty finding autocrosses and trackdays in the area. I thought it might be worthwhile to start a thread where people can post up dates and basic details of events that Carolinas members might be interested in attending. The following is a prospective format:

CCR Region has not posted their first few AutoX events of the season yet, but when they do I will add them to your list. Welcome to Charlotte! Hope to see you out at all of the CCR events, as most are held here in Charlotte! We have extremely competitive STR, Pro, and Tire classes so you should enjoy yourself no matter where you fall!

Rather than compile a list (that can get outdated as the various organizations update their schedules), I typically just refer to the organizations websites and plan my weekend/vacation days accordingly Just a note though, I'm based in NC, so some of the locations might be a bit of a drive depending on where you're located. Hopefully, others can chime in on their local groups for SC.

Tarheel Sports Car Club puts together an Auto-X per month and a few track days per year. Unfortunately, their 2013 calendar isn't up yet.

Triad Sports Car Club is another group for Auto-X - no 2013 calendar as well though.

Track Daze puts together (you guessed it) track days at a number of East Coast tracks (VIR/Summit Point/etc). And their 2013 calendar IS up!

How many runs do you usually get on either test and tune or competition days? For me, it's a long way to drive for four runs (the San Diego SCCA norm).

 

Test & Tunes in my region you can usually book 10-20 runs depending on turnout. Actual events are usually 4.

CCR's first event of the year will be February 16th a zMax Dragway in Concord, NC (one, if not THE best site in NC). It will be Points Event #1.

 

Sweet! zMax is 5 minutes from my house...
