We got 28-29mpg going to Michigan and back in a Mercedes E320. That's with a trunk crammed full of gear, 4 people and the AC blasting... well, until it quit blowing cold air somewhere in Ohio on the way home. Aside from that minor inconvenience, which should be a warranty repair, I rather enjoyed the trip in the benz -- even though I didn't get to drive.

Nice...other than the no a/c part. The new C class is rated at 25 on highway...

E320 is a fine choice...but too pricey for airgate.

I thought the C300 was rated at 28mpg while the C350 was rated at 25. I'd opt for the 300 regardless as I'd prefer the sport model with the 6-speed.

[QUOTE=airgate,Sep 4 2007, 01:09 PM] Acura is somewhat of a consideration...but...they don't have very aggressive lease offers at the moment...

Great insight Gringo, thanks! It's been quite awhile since I've driven a TL...so I'm somewhat excited to try it out...

how about one of theses? Very useful, hauls a lot including an S2000 on a trailer, gets about 18 to 20 highway empty. Should last a long time.

True, you can actually live in there if you had too.
