everyone!

We had a small snag last week (Ron will provide details later), but the warranty co. has finally agreed to replace the entire engine with a "like, similar" one. The Alcoa Honda dealership has located 2 locally; one with 50k miles and one with 15k. The warranty co now wants to conduct their own search to see if any better deals are available, but hardtopguy also did a search for us and found no better deals, so we're hoping they'll agree to pay for the 50k engine located in Knoxville. (My mileage is 96k).

If that's the case, I plan to pay some additional $$ and have them install the one with 15k miles. It would be a great opportunity to clear up the additional issues I've had with the head. I'll also have them replace the clutch while she's all apart, so she should be like a brand new girl!

We hope to hear something one way or the other tomorrow (Tues), so if all goes well, ordering and work can begin Tues or Wed. I'll be in Knoxville on Wed 9/10 for DragonBall, so here's hoping all goes well to get her back on the road by then.

Thanks for your continued interest and support. Can't wait to get her back!

Great! Some possible light at the end of the tunnel for you... Here's hoping things go well and they get her back on the road running and performing in tip-top shape

Wow this works perfectly since there is no engine break in miles so will be ready for the dragon immediately. Good luck!

Good plan Sheila...I would do the same exact thing...I'd opt for the 15k mile engine and pay the difference. Hope everything gets "running" soon!

Well, I'm glad for you of course Sheila. But at the same time... to those asking about the Warranty Co. ...jeez... Pay for coverage, and receive at best and only by paying ADDITIONAL $$$...a used motor? Gotta love how we pay into 'insurance'...in all its esoteric costumes .

Still...a replaced motor is a replaced motor. You know I wish ya'll the absolute best of luck .
