Default Error code on Radio

Every time i put in a cd in my stock 01 s radio it ejects the cd and says E-00. Does anyone know what this means? I went to Cale Yarbrough Honda in Florence and the guy didnt know anything about it, and said that he would mail it to honda to have them look at it ($350). Any ideas?

Look in the owners manual in the radio section. The manual lists several codes that pop up if there is a problem and what the code means.

trust me, he knows a LOT about S2000s.....

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oh God, it NEVER gets old. Jason this will continue to be funny until the day that I die, so sorry...

Ok seriously now. Have you tried different CDs?
Ask this question in the electronics section. The guys there will most likely know right off the bat what that code is trying to tell you. Good luck....

If it was cold outside, then you picked up a cold CD the warmth from your hand will create a small bit of condinsation the CD and wont allow the laser to read the disk. Allow the car to warm up a little then try it again.

Thanks for the help guys, I think it could be the weather. I did try diffrent cd's and it did the same thing. But after awhile it started working again. I usually put the car away all winter back home so i dont drive it when its cold out. Hopefully its just the condinsation like you said.

Thanks everyone!
